HearMeOut is your personal AI companion designed to offer therapy-like support — anytime, anywhere. It listens, understands, and responds conversationally, just like a calm, thoughtful therapist. It’s available 24/7, so you can talk whenever you need to think, process emotions, or get clarity.
HearMeOut is not a crisis line or a substitute for professional therapy, but it helps bridge the gap by offering psychological insight, emotional support, and structured self-reflection through natural conversation.
2. How to Use HearMeOut
Start Talking
You can communicate with HearMeOut in two ways:
- Text chat mode – type your thoughts or questions at your own pace.
- Voice mode – speak naturally, just like talking to a calm listener.
You can switch between the two anytime.
The 4-Second Pause
In voice mode, HearMeOut waits about 4 seconds before replying after you finish speaking. This isn’t a delay or lag — it’s intentional.
It allows you to finish your thought fully, take a breath, and ensures the AI responds meaningfully. Don’t interrupt during this pause — it’s part of HearMeOut’s 'active listening' design.
The AI’s Personality
HearMeOut speaks in a calm, measured, neutral tone — not overly emotional or robotic. It’s trained to stay non-judgmental and trauma-informed, focusing on clarity and understanding.
3. Getting the Most Out of Your Conversations
HearMeOut works best when you treat it as a collaborative dialogue — not a passive listener. It learns your context within each session, so the more you interact, the more precise and useful its responses become.

Don’t just wait for answers — engage. Ask, clarify, challenge, and expand:

Ask for What You Need
Guide the AI to adapt to your moment:

4. The Flow of a Typical Session
1. Warm-up & context: The AI explores what’s happening with you now.
2. Exploration (10 turns): It stays curious before suggesting tools.
3. Optional modality: If you agree, it can apply CBT, DBT, or other structured methods.
4. Reflection or grounding: You may receive short insight or grounding steps.
5. Closure: Ends with a gentle summary or reflection. You can continue anytime — HearMeOut never ends abruptly.
5. Privacy and Safety
All conversations are confidential and private to you. HearMeOut does not share data with third parties. You can delete your session history anytime in the app settings.
If you mention self-harm or immediate danger, the AI will gently show crisis helplines relevant to your country. HearMeOut is not a substitute for emergency or professional help.
6. Tips for Best Experience
1. Allow short pauses — don’t rush to talk over the AI.
2. Use headphones in voice mode for privacy.

8. What HearMeOut Will Never Do

How to Delete Your Account
If you decide to delete your HearMeOut account, please follow the steps below:
1. Open Profile
Launch the HearMeOut app.
Tap on your Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
2. Go to Account Settings
From your profile page, select Account Settings.
3. Select My Account
In the Account Settings menu, tap My Account.
4. Delete Account
Scroll down and choose Delete Account.
5. Confirm Deletion
A confirmation pop-up will appear. Tap Confirm to permanently delete your account.
⚠️ Important:
Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
This action cannot be undone.
